At our mobility store, we offer a wide range of equipment for rent and for sale, including mobility scooters, power chairs, lift chairs, and more. Our knowledgeable staff can help you find the right equipment to meet your needs and budget, but here are a list of our customers frequently asked questions at Mobility City of North Texas.

About/Showroom

What are your hours of operation?

We are open from 10-6 Monday-Friday and 10-2 on Saturday, Closed on Sunday

Is there someone in the showroom that can help me with the mobility products?

Yes, the owner is here everyday and we have 2 technicians on staff

Can you deliver the mobility equipment to my home?

We do offer delivery for a fee.

Purchasing & Payment

Do you offer a Military or Veterans Discount on mobility products?

We offer a 5% Military/Veterans/First Responder discount on most items. Some exclusions apply.

Do you offer financing options on mobility equipment?

We currently offer Care Credit as a financing option.

Do you offer a senior discount on mobility equipment?

We do not currently offer a senior discount.

Do you accept health insurance?

While we do not currently accept health insurance we are looking into using a third party for insurance purposes in the future.

I’m on a limited budget. Do you have inexpensive products?

We offer a full range of items for all budgets.

Do you buy used mobility equipment?

On occasion we will purchase or offer to consign certain items. It is handled on a case by case basis.

What is your return policy on mobility equipment?

All sales are final, we do not accept any returns.

Rentals

What type of equipment do you rent?

Wheelchairs, Scooters, Lift Chairs, Hospital Beds, Power Chairs, Hoyer Lift

How long do I need to rent the equipment for?

Depending on the items, you can rent from 1 day to a month or more at a time.

Can you deliver rented mobility products?

We can deliver rented items for a fee.

Do you have a delivery fee for rentals?

Yes, the fee is dependent upon the distance that we will need to go for delivery.

Can you deliver and pick up rented products to the hotel we are staying at?

Yes, we can.

Do you offer insurance for rentals?

We do not offer insurance on rentals.

Can my rental charge go towards a purchase?

A portion of your rental charge can go towards the purchase of the item rented if you decide to buy it.

Do you provide rentals for any local airports?

We do not currently have any contracts with local airports

Repairs

Can you fix my broken products and equipment at my home?

In some cases we can repair items in the home, it will often require an evaluation to determine what needs to be repaired.

Does your mobility equipment service truck come to my area to do repairs?

We go up to 100 miles from our store.

Do you service electric scooters?

Yes, we can do service work on electric scooters

Do I need to schedule an appointment to bring my mobility equipment in for repair?

An appointment is best, or if you can leave it for a day or two you can just drop it off.

Technicians

Do your Technicians work for your company and do they have background checks?

Yes, my technicians are employed by Mobility City and have had background checks completed.

Have your Technicians received the Covid-19 vaccination?

We do not require them to have the vaccination.

Are you insured in case of damage in my home?

We do carry liability insurance.

In-Home Delivery

Where do you deliver mobility equipment to?

Anywhere within a 100 mile radius of our store.

How soon can you deliver mobility equipment to my home?

Generally we can deliver same day, but always by the next day.

Does your mobility equipment service truck come to my area?

If you are in Collin County or surrounding areas we can come to you.

Products & Equipment

Do you carry bathroom safety equipment?

Yes, we have many options for bathroom safety.

Can I pay you over the phone for products and services at my parents’ home?

Yes, we accept payment via telephone.

Do you repair products bought from other companies?

Yes, we will repair products from other companies.

Can you come to my home, apartment, or assisted living facility to repair my equipment?

Yes, we can repair items where you live.

My batteries no longer charge. Do you carry replacements?

Yes, we carry many types of replacement batteries.

Do you sell chargers?

We carry a few different charges.

Will you purchase used mobility equipment?

We will purchase some used mobility equipment on a case by case basis.

Do you have mobility equipment to see and test in your showroom?

Yes, we have a large variety of items that you can try out.

Do you carry and service bariatric mobility equipment?

Yes, we can service bariatric equipment and we carry some bariatric items.

Sanitization

What kind of chemicals are used when sanitizing?

We use a steamer with just water in it for sanitization. If it is an item that can’t be be steamed we will use Clorox wipes or cleaner.
